Holy Tongue began as a studio collaboration between percussionist Valentina Magaletti and producer Al Wootton. With three critically acclaimed EPs behind them, they have transitioned into a trio for their brilliant 1st LP «Deliverance And Spiritual Warfare » and their live sets with the addition of Susumu Mukai (Zongamin). They also made a great LP with Shackleton: « Holy Tongue Meets Shackleton – The Tumbling Psychic Joy Of Now ».
Their high energy live sets invoke the experimental dub of On-U-Sound, the frenetic rhythms of 23 Skidoo, Liquid Liquid and ESG. Psychedelic, free-form, high energy, spiritual dub-dance music. We’re glad to see Valentina and Susumu back in the temple of Gnostic Sonics. FRIDAY 22.00—23.00
